Dial Direct is a dishonest company. I agreed to a quote, called a week later to inform them that I'd decided to stay with my existing insurer. They debited my account for R1 943,30. When I called, they agreed to refund. They refunded R476,62. After I contacted them and included the complaints division, they refunded another R1278,42. What about the R188,26? What if I hadn't followed up after the initial R476 payment? How many others have they scammed like this? I had to insist on an email confirming the cancelation of the policy. DD is a bad faith insurer. Those minor payments they refuse to refund add up, so the smaller premium offered are not a problem. Imagine what happens if you need to claim?
