Warning: Stay away from John Lewis Home Insurance. They are appalling. After a terrible time trying to claim for the loss of my wife’s wedding ring I pointed out other items of Jewellery that she possessed. Their response was to refuse cover for anything else and to add, right at the bottom of an email, that they had decided to arbitrarily cancel the entire policy completely. Then, having made clear they would make no further debits from my bank account, they promptly did just that! Having made it clear that I would never have a policy with them in future, they then set up a new policy, not once but twice and debit my account. Completely against my wishes! Luckily I spotted this, otherwise I would have been none the wiser. A complete and utter shambles from a once highly regarded retailer.
