I was recently burgled and although I hadn't bought a policy directly with L&G, they were the underwriters. L&G have been far better than I was expecting from an insurance company and have been helpful and paid out for my claim when I was expecting more of a battle. It was a relatively small claim (approx. £1k total) but was a lot to me and whilst it has taken a while, this may be down in part to me not constantly calling them. I did find their telephone system frustrating as there was often a long wait to get through to someone and then they had to get up to speed on my specific claim, but generally people were helpful. I would prefer it if they sent more correspondence by email, not only for my records but also as I find it difficult to talk in the day time due to my work. Overall I've been happy with how my claim has been dealt with.
