Hi...renewed my house insurance earlier this week.m It did take me a number of calls to expedite this. The latter was due to PE's Underwriters' insistence on getting some quite detailed information from my builder (I am currently having minor work done in my bathroom). After my builder went to considerable effort to gain said information, the policy was renewed anyway, and I was told that the info wasn't, after all, required. The attitude of your underwriters was pedantic to say the least. The renewals staff, however, were completely different. They were all helpful, professional, and very patient when going through my policy. May I give thanks to one chap called Nick Sadler, who was particularly helpful and who, eventually, sold me my policy. I am very aware of the problems faced by these operatives...I have two sons who work for a very large insurance company, doing the same jobs. In all, a good experience, marred only by the attitude od PE's Underwriters.
