I had a similar experience as those below. I sold my car and wanted to change my insurance to new car to which RAC said the £17 monthly would go up to £49 !! then he said I was best cancelling and get a new quote. Cancellation fee of £55 ! I only had £2.87 left to pay ?? He said if I can find a cheaper RAC quote they would take off cancellation fee.... so I did then they couldn't do it as I was NOT A NEW CUSTOMER ?? I feel like the advert where the man tries to disguise himself so they don't recognise me as a old customer ?? Got new insurance with some one else but still have to pay £57.87 ??
