I was new to the online system. One of the main problems I did not understand the rules of no claims transfer. My new car still was insured when I tried to use it for my new policy. I sent details to RAC several times via email. The response came back phone RAC. It was at this time I found out about unable to use the same no claims on two different cars. I had to pay in full + £25 because I was changing my policy. I had sent my no claims to the RAC several times since and the email response I got back was phone the RAC. They explained the 16 years I had built up could not be accepted but they will give me 10 years. It would mean a fee of £25 to change my policy again. I had no paper work thorough the post. I phoned them up and my details are all on line. I was upset at the time. I am not a spontaneous person. I am also 67 and not as quick and into technology as some youngsters. I did not change my policy and I will not be renewing it. I will be going back to my other insurer who will send me the paperwork and my 16 year entitlement.
