I had RAC car insurance from January this year. I recently sold my car today 15/05/25 and was offered less than £30 refund. They charge a £45 cancellation fee and also a £45 intermediary fee on top of that, therefore the cancellation fee is effectively £90. The addition of the the extra £45 intermediary fee on top of the £45 cancellation fee is in my view not made clear enough. Why call it a cancellation fee if you're going to charge more on top?
