Avoid their car insurance like the plague. I am comprehensively insured and was hit by a van at a junction which damaged my rear bumper but there was no structural damage. After sending off the requested photos to RAC (not even inspected properly) I was told the car would be written off and I was offered a paltry £800. I made 4 attempts to 'speak' to their online chat, to explain I did not want the car written off due to the damage being relatively minor but wanted a repair, which would have necessitated a new bumper. Online chat people said they only really deal with renewals/ amendments to policies etc. I registered a complaint at the way this has been handled and requested a transcript of the second conversation (told it would take 2 wks but it was never supplied). Four weeks on I am no further forward with no meaningful explanation of what is going on and emails sent saying an investigation into my complaint could take four weeks, with another following recently saying the exact same thing. As another complainant has already stated, they are legalised scammers and I am disgusted at their shambles of a so called service. To add insult to injury I have just received their renewal offer of insurance. I'd rather walk than give them a further penny and will seek insurance elsewhere.
