We purchased a new car after 1 month on a policy and the refund was £168 after paying £286! Apparently there is the admin fee of £35 but then the pro rata refund only applies to the base insurance cost and any extras on the policy are non refundable. Eventually I found it in the small print but a complete rip off nevertheless.
