Hyundai HYM51SPE Lawn Mower. For the most part the engine of the mower has performed well. The Easy Electric start stopped working within months of buying the machine, so I had to revert to the usual pull starter. A couple of years after purchase the dog leg on the end of the rear cable broke. I phoned Genpower and explained what I needed (having watched Adrian on Hyundaipowerproducts show how to replace the coupled cable assembly) The man at Genpower was very helpful and the package with a part duly arrived. In the meantime I had quite effectively constructed a Heath Robinson repair so that I could continue to mow. Realising that the replacement of the cables was not an easy job, I decided to let someone else do it when the mower went for service. In the meantime - Covid. My own repair remained pretty effective so I carried on and the servicing happened later than intended. The servicer took the package when he collected the mower. He subsequently returned the mower with his own repair as the package contained the wrong part. In fact, when I looked up the part, the single cable supplied was much cheaper than coupled cable I had paid for. Too much time had passed for me to send it back. The servicing man's repair has now broken and in such a way that I can't do the same HR repair as worked before. Given what I have read on this site, I might never be sent the correct part anyway. What to do? I think the dog leg endings on the cables is a built-in design weakness.
