Bought a Hyundai electric start self propelled lawnmower from Genpower in June - all set up and working but noticed that oil was leaking from the front cover plate onto the mower deck , thought this may have been oil spillage from factory testing but after two more uses it was the same . Contacted Genpower and explained the situation along with photos. Response was that I was outside the 30 day window for receiving a replacement machine ( WHAT!) and they think the head gasket may require replacement. More like actually needs fitting 🤔. Asked me to fit a new head gasket if they sent one to me (WHAT!) - I declined as this would then invalidate the three year warranty they give . Options were then to take to a repairer for assessment and then authority to proceed with repair under warranty- provided it was covered ( WHAT!) . Or they would have the mower back to base for assessment and repair all FOC - only if in terms of the warranty (WHAT!) The latter option was requested which meant me draining the oil and petrol before collection, packaging and taking photos of the boxed lawnmower. The mower was repaired and delivered back within two weeks and seems to be ok now . Bearing in mind the mower was delivered on 19th of June and the oil leak reported 3rd of August after only 3 uses ( grass not growing) I would have expected a replacement machine from a company of this size but obviously they have a different take on customer satisfaction which I believe will not stand them in a good place going forward Customers deserve better when purchasing from a reputable brand of Hyundai

Purchased a Hyundai preowned garden tilller from Genpower that was supposed to have been cleaned, examined, and tested. It arrived filthy, un checked, and lacking oil. Without doubt one of the worst UK company’s for customer satisfaction. After complaining to the company they pretended to be dealing with my complaint asking me for photos of the item, detailed description of my problem, the result? They did nothing, did not apologise, and closed the case. Genpowers motto seems to be “we got your money, now you can bugger off’. How Hyundai deal with this bunch of cowboys defeats me. Genpower bring a whole new meaning to customer services, just google their poor reviews before you buy, I wish I had.

I bought a Hyundai lawn mower that after 8 months broke down. After several videos and emails Genpower agreed to take the item back. However they made me package the item, which wasn’t easy. It’s been with them for four months and I’ve had several unhelpful and quite rude emails in response to my enquiries. It’s unbelievable that a company can operate like this to be honest.

I purchased a vertical log splitter at over ÂŁ800. Three year warranty. 3 months after warranty expired unit failed. After sales support for a product which is not fit for purpose was total rubbish. I should say that I have been spending three months trying to get a solution. The unit is a "professional item", I am a pensioner who relies on wood to stay warm. The item was used once a year to split wood for my own use. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS Company.

I ordered a new part for my strimmer. It made my machine impossible to use. I sent my strimmer to the service department They finally agreed to replace the strimmer. They then sent me an Artificial.Grass sweeper on two occasions. Five months later they have refunded the price of the strimmer. A very disappointing and incompetent company. It’s impossible to speak to the same person twice. They send the wrong paid for replacements and never take responsibility for any mistakes. I will never use them again.

Brought a lawn mower with electric start from Amazon. The battery charged up the first time but since then refuses to charge. It said if there were problems to contact Genpower. It is still under warranty. Constant rubbish emails for weeks now and no offer to sort the problem out. I thought Hyundai were a good company - I had never heard of Genpower. Genpowers customer service has been rubbish and I now have a very heavy lawn mower without electric start. I am old and can not go on with the very hard to use pull start. My even older husband pulled muscles in his arm trying and 2 months on still can't drive. Mower not fit for the purpose it was brought and no help at all from Genpower. Will never buy Hyundai again while it means dealing with these idiots

I purchased a hyundli stimmer from argos in May this year. When I came to put it together the hand grip.handle would not tighten. I have made several phone calls to customer service help line to get a replacement. I am still waiting .the stimmer is an excellent piece of kit.it does what it says on the tin.

I do not recommend this company. If anything goes wrong with your purchase and this company is to blame, instead of doing everything to satisfy the customer, this company will do everything to discourage you from any contact. Instead of organizing a collection for the customer, because it's not yours fault, you have to buy your own packaging for which you have to pay, and you have to go to the parcel collection point, wasting your own time. Regarding the refund, I recommend paying with PayPal because they will do everything to delay the refund until eternity. Contact with anyone who answers questions is like contact with a chatbot, dehumanized with a large dose of ignorance and lack of understanding. When reading the opinions of people who have had bad experiences, the same problems arise, whether it's company policy or lack of empathy, it doesn't matter because I won't buy anything from them again. To get my money back, I had to open a case with PayPal, and after assurances that they would refund the money right away, I had to escalate the case because they stopped responding, and finally, PayPal considered the case in my favor. What a waste of time, dear founders of this company, Mrs and Mr. Lisa and Roland Llewellin, do you have any idea that a reputation takes years to build and is destroyed in the blink of an eye? But I wish you all the best. Unfortunately for you, my money will go to someone else. Cordially Maciej.

they look after hyundai warranties for lawnmowers. the company is that poor, it was almost embarrassing. I'm not a serial complainer and very rarely leave surveys but genuinely, if you avoid this company, you should. they are in essence a scam company designed to avoid accepting warranty repairs

Worst Customer Service I have ever received. Bought a spare part from this company and was advised I would get the part by today, part never arrived so I called Customer Service to get an update, soon as I told the first advisor he ended the call. Called again and exactly the same happened, soon as I said can you give me an update on my delivery call ended. 3rd time I pressed the option for them to call me back, they did call back but as soon as I said I want to track my delivery - shock call ended and they didn't call back! Gempower, your Customer service employee's are making you look like cowboys! I for one will never buy through you again, I will never buy another Hyundai power product either because I don't deal with poor customer service @Hyundai - you need to source better representation for your products

Sell faulty products but will not refund! Purchased a JCB-pw15040P petrol pressure washer. Stopped working after the first use. Contacted customer service 32 days after receiving but will not refund me. Terrible after care will sell you faulty products and then not help you!

Hyundai wheeled strimmer arrived in broken box with missing bolts, unworkable and unfit for purpose. Refused to take back as complaint was made 'too late' - less than a month after purchase. Not sure where to go with this - but left with a machine in bits that doesn't work

Took £430 from my account for a lawnmower. Waited a week to tell me that it was out of stock and still trying to get my money back 2 weeks later. Joke company. Terrible customer service and staff who don’t have a clue what they are doing.

Awful customer service. Returned a machine as I'd ordered the wrong one, didn't unpackage it at all and it left the same as it arrived. They collected the machine and two weeks later I had to chase them up to find out when I was going to recieve my refund. They dodged me three times then finally today said its been processed and I should recieve it in 5-10 working days meaning it's taken almost a month in total to get my money back. Its no small amount either. Its absolutely ridiculous, if you use them make sure you get your order right because if not you're in for a treat dealing with their "customer services"...

Terrible they are rubbish, I bought a petrol hedge trimmer, it has never worked, I’ve never used it, when it runs the blades operate on there own this is highly dangerous, when the throttle is squeezed it cuts out. I’ve been corresponded with their customer service to put it bluntly they are muppets. Do not use this company so unprofessional

Do not buy from this company, they can not fix problems under their warranty, they just send the mower back without taxing it.

Excellent service and fantastic speedy delivery, despatched Tue received Thur lunch. I ordered a HMY430SPE mower 17” with Electric start and self propelled it’s absolutely brilliant. Just received it, tried it out, started first time, the electric start is magic, it does have a manual pull cord if the battery runs flat. Tried the mulching out too, you can hardly see the clippings on the grass. A great plus also, you get a 600mI bottle of oil, so you can get mowing straight after assembly, this was straightforward too. The only this I was a little confused about, was where to attach the cable pull cord holding spring, it goes where the upper handle is attached to the lower part, just put it on the screw and tighten. Can’t believe how quick the delivery was, others were two to three weeks del. It’s a great little mower and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this mower. Brilliant service, Brilliant Mower, really pleased with it and so much power too. Thank you ..best regards James.

£500 lawnmower drive cable snapped after 3 months. Under warranty Genpower agreed to send a replacement cable. Wrong cable sent 1 week later. Still waiting for the correct cable Serial number and part number provided It’s a joke!!!
