Bought a Hyundai electric start self propelled lawnmower from Genpower in June - all set up and working but noticed that oil was leaking from the front cover plate onto the mower deck , thought this may have been oil spillage from factory testing but after two more uses it was the same . Contacted Genpower and explained the situation along with photos. Response was that I was outside the 30 day window for receiving a replacement machine ( WHAT!) and they think the head gasket may require replacement. More like actually needs fitting 🤔. Asked me to fit a new head gasket if they sent one to me (WHAT!) - I declined as this would then invalidate the three year warranty they give . Options were then to take to a repairer for assessment and then authority to proceed with repair under warranty- provided it was covered ( WHAT!) . Or they would have the mower back to base for assessment and repair all FOC - only if in terms of the warranty (WHAT!) The latter option was requested which meant me draining the oil and petrol before collection, packaging and taking photos of the boxed lawnmower. The mower was repaired and delivered back within two weeks and seems to be ok now . Bearing in mind the mower was delivered on 19th of June and the oil leak reported 3rd of August after only 3 uses ( grass not growing) I would have expected a replacement machine from a company of this size but obviously they have a different take on customer satisfaction which I believe will not stand them in a good place going forward Customers deserve better when purchasing from a reputable brand of Hyundai
