Terrible experience. Bought a Hyundai HYM510SP lawnmower on the 16th September. Set it up the next week and it worked but was spluttering. I know nothing about lawnmowers and thought maybe because it was new. Went to cut the lawn 3 weeks later and it wouldn’t fire up, nothing. Rang support they said it was ignition coil asked if I was happy to fit it and they would send part. Not really happy about it as I am a 50 yr old woman with zero tools and zero mechanic experience. Part came I didn’t have the tools. Ended up paying £30 for someone to come fit it for me. Didn’t fix it. They now say I’m out of my 30 day warranty and want me to drain the machine and send it back. I’m not comfortable in doing this so am stuck with a broken lawnmower and £450 down the drain. Don’t buy from these people and don’t try and help them out by accepting parts and trying to fix their faulty machines yourself or they will throw it back in your face. Date of experience: 31 October 2022

Hyundai HYM51SPE Lawn Mower. For the most part the engine of the mower has performed well. The Easy Electric start stopped working within months of buying the machine, so I had to revert to the usual pull starter. A couple of years after purchase the dog leg on the end of the rear cable broke. I phoned Genpower and explained what I needed (having watched Adrian on Hyundaipowerproducts show how to replace the coupled cable assembly) The man at Genpower was very helpful and the package with a part duly arrived. In the meantime I had quite effectively constructed a Heath Robinson repair so that I could continue to mow. Realising that the replacement of the cables was not an easy job, I decided to let someone else do it when the mower went for service. In the meantime - Covid. My own repair remained pretty effective so I carried on and the servicing happened later than intended. The servicer took the package when he collected the mower. He subsequently returned the mower with his own repair as the package contained the wrong part. In fact, when I looked up the part, the single cable supplied was much cheaper than coupled cable I had paid for. Too much time had passed for me to send it back. The servicing man's repair has now broken and in such a way that I can't do the same HR repair as worked before. Given what I have read on this site, I might never be sent the correct part anyway. What to do? I think the dog leg endings on the cables is a built-in design weakness.

Genpower’s reseller took my money on the promise of immediate delivery in mid August. Failed to deliver and promised mid September. Failed to deliver and promised November. I contacted Roland Llewelyn the CEO and as a punishment had my order out back to mid Jan 2023. I’ll get my money back but will never by anything Hyundai or from Genpower again. I hate being lied to - even if it’s bad news, just man up and tell the truth.

Bought a generator which was faulty. I rejected it within the statutory period. It was an absolute nightmare getting them to collect it and provide me with a refund. Customer service is non-existent and left me totally underwhelmed and disappointed!

I ordered a replacement set of brushes for my HYYW70 patio brush cleaner on 22nd April, I have been chasing these parts since February, however when I contacted the parts department last Wednesday I was assured they had the parts and they would be delivered by Friday. They arrived Saturday, not an issue with the delivery being a day late. The Issue is that the box only contained 7 x brushes, and a full set of brushes is 9 x brushes, so I am still 2 x brushes short. Still unable to use my unit! What's going on? don't you know your own products? Surely you should know how many spare brushes make a set.

We had a lawnmower off genpower it's a hyundai paid over £500 and we have had problem with it starting for some tome we contacted genpower and was Informed we needed to drain the oil and petrol dismantle and put in a box as we did now we have been informed by genpower they can't find a fault with the lawnmower and we have been asked to pay £122 as our 3 year warranty doesn't cover this all I can say is if you have any problems with your equipment your guaranteed won't mean a thing

Very poor aftersales. They're very polite, but good luck in getting things sorted after the initial 30 days (The absolute bare minimum required by law). I've pretty much written off my 9 month old £1100 purchase as I've had to buy a replacement due to them not having parts and not knowing if or when they will arrive. Don't be an idiot like me!

Bought a compressor from these guys in May 2021. Unpacked and started using In June. November it started tripping out at the safety switch. I contacted the supplier who didn’t want to know. After I received a massive electric shock from the unit I unplugged and contacted them again. They told me they would fix it, I asked for a refund and they refused. They took it to their workshop and informed me the electrical motor was bad!!!!!! Then said it’s ready to ship back to me. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE…..

I recently purchased a Hyundai pressure washer from Genpower and this was duly delivered to my home. However, I could not get the machine to pump water. When I called customer services, they said the machine needed at least 14l of water a minute. I'm on a mains water supply, with decent pressure but when I measured it we only achieved 7l a minute. I called Genpower asking to return the pressure washer under distance selling regulations, as it was less than the 14 days. I paid for the £49.95 large/heavy courier return, but they deducted £130.00 "restocking" charge from the refund. When I called to query this, the rep wasn't interested in my concerns it was more of a "that's what the computer says" attitude. I contacted Pembrokeshire Trading Standards over the matter, and they stated Genpower were breaking the law with a blanket 25% restocking charge in all circumstances. It is something trading standards will be taking up with Genpower. So I'm the best part of £200.00 down, and Genpower doesn't care. Like I said in the title, the is the WORST experience I have ever experienced with an online retailer. The only option I have now, which I will be taking, is to pursue Genpower through the small claims courts and file a civil action for unfair/excessive restocking charges.

Would not buy from these again, appalling!!!!!!! Would not buy from these again, after sales service appalling. They were supposed to have done repairs, but only bodged it and now want to charge me to send it back to do what they should have done in first place. They even suggested I attempt to repair the machine myself, even though it was under a 3 year guarantee. Very condescending technicians, not helpful at all!!!!!
