Friendly enough staff, but the guy who was supposed to know about speakers was telling me that I'd needed to buy a separate sound unit because the type of speakers I'd bought (studio speakers) wouldn't be able to connect directly into a laptop and made a joke about how I had a huge learning curve to go through when I said that's what I was going to be using them for. I was pretty sure he was wrong, so I made my excuses and left before he sold me any extra equipment, when I got home the speakers plugged in perfectly fine into my MacBook with just a regular RCA cable.
