My experience with Ginger6 was both good and somewhat bad. Starting with the (very) good - customer service was second to none. Leah answered and accommodated any queries quickly and efficiently with a phone call. I was actually quite a difficult customer changing the components of a custom PC order 3x times! I felt terrible as each time I made a change the CPU and/or motherboard had to be changed and the CPU cooler taken off. I the last one was made after the whole unit was built and was ready to ship! Despite this Leah and the Ginger6 team were really forgiving about it and made the changes as requested. That is the gold standard for customer service. The unit was delivered on time on the day specified. Now onto not the so good stuff. When the PC arrived the case fans were blowing the wrong way and had obviously been installed incorrectly. The case I had was the Cooler Master Storm Trooper. There are dust filters top and bottom of the case, which means any fans on the sides need to be blowing outwards. But of course they were blowing inwards. Secondly, the XDock (2.5" hot swappable SSD bay) had not been connected to the motherboard. So a key feature of the case was not working - it's not that there weren't enough mobo connectors or SATA ports. it's just wasn't installed. Sending back the unit would be a big hassle so I had to open the case and turn around the fans and connect the XDock myself - of course voiding the warranty in the process.
