NEGATIVE FIVE STARS I placed an $1100 booking. 20 hours later I called as I needed to cancel. The airline itself has no charge for bookings cancelled within 24 hours, however GOTOGATE has no such policy. After waiting on hold literally for 2 1/2 hours an agent answered. Heavy Indian accent. Not that it matters, but India is unfortunately a huge red flag as it's a hotbed for scams. Anyway the agent said it would cost $750 to cancel the booking, based on their own charges. He said if I could call the airlines and have them add an authorization code on booking to remove cancelation fee (like a waiver), then he would *only* need to charge $71 to cancel the booking. Now compare this with most airlines and travel agents. Most offer a 100% refund if cancelled within 24 hours. GOTOGATE is an absolute scam. They are thieves and shame on any airline conducting business with them.
