Booked a flight to go to Paris in March through gotogate to fly on NorweginAir. It was obviously cancelled because of the pandemic. I got ONE email from gotogate that was just a forwarded Norwegian email saying my flight was cancelled. Like any other person, I went to check the gotogate website to see what I could do for a refund and it basically said don’t contact them because they already have such a high volume of calls/emails so just let them handle things. My fault for still not calling in right then and there. I put in a claim with Norwegian for a refund just in case and I got no response so I assumed I needed to be more patient with the current circumstances. It’s now July and I still haven’t heard anything so I called Norwegian, they said it was already refunded but the card they read wasn’t mine. Norwegian explained its likely because I used a 3rd party travel agency. So I called gotogate, was on hold for about 20 minutes, and was told they’d have to contact Norwegian first to confirm my flight was cancelled so they could process the refund And I’d get an email when that happened. Well it’s been a week since then, still waiting for the email. How long should this take when it’s already been 4 months since the flights were cancelled and Norwegian said it’s already been refunded..
