I booked a car with GreenMotion in Manchester England, through Expedia for a full seven days, and this turned into one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had.
I was running late for pickup, so I called several times (no answer) and even emailed to let them know. When I arrived, Darren, the only person working, told me my reservation was cancelled although still active with Expedia and it could not be reinstated. What frustrated me most was that there were cars available, but he refused to issue one. He stated clearly that they would still keep my money and not provide a car.
To me, this was unethical and dishonest. Instead of trying to help, Darren was dismissive and unwilling to work with me. I left extremely frustrated, thinking I had lost my entire seven-day rental.
I had to go and rent another car from another company. I was trying to see if Expedia could help they didn’t do the following week I went back to Green motion in person because because I couldn’t let it go. Another employee, Omar’s, was professional, kind, and immediately reinstated the rental but I had to pay $200. This only proved that Darren could have helped me from the start but chose not to.
I still hate the companies policy and think they are so scammy to offer cheap prices but hit you with exchanges for insurance.
Do not book with them.
