The buckle is solid and sturdy, it is not flimsy or bulky. The belt stays tight where you put it. The only critical thing is the method of putting it on. Because it's different from a regular belt, it takes a little bit getting used to and a little practice, but once you get the hang of it it's not a problem. Overall, a good well-made product.
