Very lightweight and I love that feeling. I have had no issues immediately adjusting to a different way that you fasten this belt, although it does stretch a little after using so it becomes a little different extending through a belt loop and tightening, so I rotate it, tighten, then rotate straight while tucking under belt loop. Don't expect anything high tech, it's just a strap with a cut out piece of metal for a buckle, but I like it. Once you own a buckle, it is pretty inexpensive to purchase another strap of an alternate color.
