I waited several weeks to respond to your request for feedback as I wanted to offer something substantive. I love the socks. I have worn them for over a month now, and they are top notch in quality and feel. One piece of constructive feedback concerns the XL designation. In a shoe, I wear a 12 EEE, and these "XL" socks are quite snug on my feet. I would not be able to use them if they were any smaller. As a note, I wore them prior to washing in cold water (every time), and they have never seen time in a dryer. So, that sizing aspect would be a concern moving forward. I could not see myself liking socks more than I like yours--unless you gave me a little more room. These were labeled cosmetic seconds, and I fear that the cosmetic defect could have been regular socks being labeled as XL.
