This was my first GRIP6 belt. I saw an ad on IG and thought the belts looked pretty good so I went and researched reviews around the web. I found lots of reviews saying how the belts didnt seem to show any wear and tear after a couple years. $30ish for a belt seemed expensive(I've never worn anything other than $10 big box store "leather" belts) but the reviews and the discount code I found convinced me to give it a shot.
First impressions: the belt material feels light and the buckle is especially very light. It initially felt kind of "cheap" and I was skeptical. However, the belt material is extremely solid, it doesnt stretch at all, and doesnt bend out of shape easily. The buckle feels like aluminum, but more rugged I guess? I'm really impressed with the craftsmanship of the buckle, there are no stray burrs, the cuts are all perfect and the coloring is very well done. I haven't experienced any slippage or stretching so it is doing exactly what I expect a belt to do, keep my pant on.
The simplicity of the design and the quality of the materials leads me to believe that this belt will last a long time.
I only give it 4 stars because of the price. The initial "cheap" feeling doesnt make it seem like a belt worth $30+ full price. If I truly get 2+ years out of this belt, then it would be 5 stars easy. Would I buy more? On sale, absolutely. I dont wear belts as a fashion accessory, so it's hard for me to justify having multiple belt/buckle combos, but I would absolutely buy more when they go on sale.
