Not at flat as you think. I grabbed this for it being slimmer/less bulky. May look it from the front, however, with the strap and belt retaining rib in the back, the belt is still 14mm or 1/2inch thick when worn. Digs in about the same as any other belt.
That out of the way. Quality product, looks good, made in USA.
