I have purchased tickets for the show. 4 days before the date Groupon cancelled my tickets without a good reason.
I contacted them in regards to this. At first they were saying that my booking has not been cancelled and I should call the venue to confirm- I did and they said my name is not on their list.
Groupon then said I cannot get a refund. I should instead use the credit on account to buy something else.
I insist on a refund as their policy on their website clearly states: 'We are actively in touch with our partners and will let you know as soon as possible if your event is cancelled or rescheduled, and we'll issue a REFUND at that time'. So they cancelled, NOT rebooked and NOT refunded!!
Customer services were replying for a while until I asked for a manager to get in touch.....after that no one has gotten back to me even though I am now sending an email every few days. I have used live chat and email as there is no way of contacting them via phone- they are still using Covid as an excuse for not returning to their offices.
They are a thieving company. I recommend not using them otherwise you will be fighting forever to get anywhere with refund. I am filing an official complaint with Citizens Advice Bureau and considering small claims court. I will not let them get away with this.
