I purchased a Groupon activity for redemption at a specific place in Florida. Unfortunately, due to a job change, we moved before we were able to use it. I wasn't worried because Groupon claims that your purchases are always worth at least what you paid for them. I contacted Customer Support (chat) to request a trade-in, or refund but was informed that I could do neither. Despite the fact that I had shared with the C.S. rep that we no longer lived in the area, I was told I could use it there.
Not at all helpful. The Groupon purchase was only $84.00 but since they are unwilling to allow trade-in or refund, I'm out the money. Very unfortunate!
Additionally the rep ended the chat before I could inquire about an additional ongoing
issue I had with a different Groupon Gift Card (still unresolved).
Please think twice about purchasing through Groupon. I have experienced 2/3 dissatisfying results.
