As a seller, Groupon is all about Groupon. They charge 33% and the support they give is very little.

Backpackers mainly buy it so no repeat business
Impossible to compare bills to actual money paid to you
They take 33% of the sale price
They promote that you get people in the door to up-sell
You do not make a profit from sales on this site
You cannot use your own logo
You cannot have black and white photos
You are paying for there advertising
You do all the administration work for them so that you must workout if it is profitable.
Based on my experience with 4 campaigns with them is that less than 1% come back
It is all work for you and all money to them.
