Despite following the compatibility chart for the part I ordered, and being advised it was correct for my car, when it came through and I attempted to fit it, the hose was too short in a vital location causing rubbing and chafing which would have caused another failure had I not taken the hose to a hydraulic specialist who modified it so it would fit.
I understand the responsibility for ensuring the correct part is ordered falls on the buyer, but I expected more.
