I bought a car battery online and when it arrived, although it appeared to be packaged very well, the bag that the battery was in was wet on the inside. I thought it was water so removed the battery to dry it off but it turned out to be acid (I checked it with a hot tub test strip). Although no great harm was done I did suffer some mild discomfort and irritation to my forearm.
