I purchased a battery for my Polo and the delivery initially failed because the driver (DPD) said he could not find us even though he got within 300 yards of my property. It was the delivered on Tuesday of the following week (this week) and it was contained in a very large DPD cardboard box. Within this the battery was encased within the GSF cardboard box which itself was inside two large plastic bags. The battery was on its side (although the instructions on the GSF box was clearly marked that it must be kept in a vertical position at all times. All the battery fluids had escaped (reason for the plastic bags) and the box was all soggy. I got in touch with GSP and I was offered a refund or an exchange. I took the battery twenty miles into the Derby retail outlet and exchanged it without any further hassle. Although I found the experience quite exasperating, having the inconvenience of forty mile round trip I can say that the GSP staff were very accommodating and apologetic. I think DSP staff realised that they had messed up and then hid it away to make a delivery and trouble free get-away.
