I knew the exact part code of what I needed (a Valeo alternator), but the site made me put my registration in and then "told me" what part I needed. Since the part was remanufactured, and branded it was impossible to identify the original manufacturer, let alone part code. Sure enough, it was the wrong one (a Bosch), which cost me 3 lost days over the weekend and bank holiday, and 40 miles driving in traffic. They did at least refund me for the part, no questions asked. But It can't be right that the customer cannot see the original manufacturer, or specify the part.
