I bought a left hand tie rod end for my VW new Beetle from the Nottingham store using the click and collect service. The packaging had already been opened when I collected it. After going to the trouble of jacking up my car and prepping for the work to fit it, I discovered that the part was for the wrong side of the vehicle! This was despite the label on the packaging describing the side I needed. I wonder if a previous customer had discovered this too and returned the part, hence the already opened packaging?
So I wasted a gallon of fuel and over an hour in travelling to and from the Nottingham store to collect this part.
It then transpired that the store didn't have a replacement in stock so fortunately the Leicester store were able to help.
I usually get great service from GSF so I'll put this down to a rare hiccup, but on the basis of wasted time and costs I can only give a two star review.
