I choose to collect my orders from store as it would seem to be easier since my place of work is not too far, I can simply just stop in on my way home. However, so far every time I've been in, I've seen a large number of staff out the front smoking, chatting, seemingly waiting to go home at 17:00 when the store shuts at 17:30. I'm not gonna tell you how to run your firm but if it was mine, this wouldn't be happening. Inside the shop repeatedly I have waited for my (pre) order to be picked from stock and brought to me, taking up MY time! Why is it not ready and waiting under the counter, for such a small thing as a lightbulb, I can't see how that could be a problem. On my last visit to the shop I can see through a semi reflective screen. I assume the managers are in the office behind it? I'm not certain, but if I can see them they can see me and see that there is no member of staff at the desk, in fact the members of staff that should be making the process as easy as 123 are in the back room laughing and joking with each other for 10 minutes while a queue forms behind me. After reluctantly banging on the counter for some service a woman did appear and apologise for my wait, found my order number and then delegated someone from the back to go and fetch it. Of course making the wait longer. I hope you can understand how unnecessary/preventable this review could have been. I hope you can see that from a customer point of view this looks unprofessional and I think, totally unacceptable. I decided after this encounter that I will try home delivery wherever possible from now on! I hope that the company won't just dismiss this review and that should I decide to visit store again, changes will have been implemented.
