I am disappointed as when I made an order for collection last Saturday in the Northampton branch I called them at 13:00 and reserved a starter motor(after calling all branches in a 30 mile radius) and had to remove the old one before they shut at 4 pm and get there, unfortunately it happened to be the wrong one and when I arrived at 3:50 I was told that I needed to pay (15% discount in shop as I kicked off about the price) £173 for the right one with the sure charge included. (£102 sure charge)
This was £70 more than my previous order and as it was the end of the day the guys working on the counter would not let me do an online order to get it at the same price as the last one I ordered.
I did not have any other choice as mine had failed and I had to get to work on Sunday.
From a customer perspective I appreciate them staying 5-10 min late but paying more than needed is not acceptable especially when there are no other options after calling all GSF branches for 30 miles to confirm stock as two states they had it and didn’t have them when I went to check at the shop and Northampton had both so went there, where I was charged £70 more than what was shown on my online order.
Not exactly impressed, may have to use Euro if that’s the case.
