Ordered an alternator online for store pick up. Went to store but part not in stock, contrary to their computer system, which said stock was available. Fortunately there was a competent lady working there, who crosss referenced the part number of my exchange unit, and discovered that their online parts database was also wrong. They did have a unit in stock after all.
So in short, don't trust their online stock levels, don't trust their part numbers, but they do have at one useful member of staff. I assume she will be leaving soon.
