Ordered battery on line, whilst on the phone to a member of staff. Went to collect next day, finally was attended to by a not very cheerful guy, showed him order confirmation on my phone and he departed to get the battery. He came back 5 mins later looked on his computer and went off again - another 5 mins passed before he came back saying he could not find it. I explained that I had spoken with someone about it who had checked that they had one. Then he found it under the counter. It looked really bad dust and muck all over it and I asked him if he was sure this was a new battery - he put a tester on it which showed that it needed charging. He said I could take and charge it myself or leave it and come back later! I didn’t have my charger with me so had a wasted trip and had to go back. I should have thought that when selling a battery they would ensure it was charged before the customer arrived to check. I need the battery to start a car to take for an MOT - if I had left collection until the day of the MOT I wouldn’t have had time to get it there! Very poor customer service!!
