Bought a bag plus pair of sunglasses from the York outlet. Got home and tried to peel the price sticker from the arm of the sunglasses to be left with a mass of sticky gunk and 6 of the diamantes pulled out of the arm by the glue. Contacted online customer services as I live 75 miles away from the store. Took a week to get any sort of reply and was then asked for photos and proof of purchase. It stated receipt or other proof such as bank statement. Sent this all back immediately and had to wait a further week for a second reply. Was told without the receipt that nothing could be done. I appreciate I threw the receipt away, but sent my credit card statement clearly showing the purchase ( which was listed as proof of purchase) If the original email had stated only receipts would be accepted or I had a timely response I would have emptied my bin to search for it as these sunglasses look very scruffy and are not suitable to be worn so a complete waste of money. This level of customer service is completely appaling and all I want is my glasses to be exchanged. I feel accused of stealing and am very angry. For a major company I would expect a high level of customer service, but obviously not.
