I purchased a pair of plum coloured leggings and a matching tee back in February from Gym King Women, for wearing in the gym. I have only recently been wearing them to the gym to work out for treadmill and leg press sessions (within the last 4 weeks) as I chose to wear my older clothing until I had toned up as the leggings were slightly see through. On Saturday evening I noticed that the leggings have split at the seam on the right inner thigh, mainly because I noticed that I had a fabric burn to that exact area, which matches the size and shape of the split. I checked my other gym king leggings and noticed that a second pair has also started to come threadbare at the seam, but on both legs. I am a size 10 wearing a 10-12 so it’s not a size issue. I contacted gym king to see if this was a common issue as you would expect workout leggings to be durable. Their customer service team replied and informed me that they are a lifestyle brand with a heavily gym influenced focus and cannot guarantee durability in their clothing.
I probably won’t buy from them again, quite disappointed because the two tees I have are really comfy, along with my waffle hoodie. I wasn’t after my money back, just wanted clarification if it’s a known issue. Their gym king women Instagram is basically all models wearing their clothes to run errands and pose with coffee cups, backside thrust out & full face of make up lol. Probably should have checked this out first to be honest as it gives a good idea of what they are actually all about as a brand.
The kicker? I posted this review elsewhere and they basically tried to strongarm me into removing it. Disgusting.
