The most awful customer service experience in my life. All my bike needs is a simple repair to pedal and connected piece; was told that unless I purchase a £160 maintenance package they would refuse to do anything to the bike...that I purchased from them might I add. The worker tried to upsell a service that wasn’t even required let alone wanted. The manager that I asked to speak to (after they’d had a 10 minute personal conversation between themselves) was extremely perdantic and even asked me to leave the store because I said “I’m unhappy with what this guy said”...you couldn’t make it up. Head office said they would intervene and call me back, almost immediately I received a call from the store (not what was discussed) from a very snotty member of staff that reiterated their refusal to fix a bike they provided.
So to some up, if you have an issue with a Halfords bike unless you pay near on two thirds of the cost of your bike and agree to work that you don’t want or require; you will be left in the lurch and treated like a second class citizen. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
