A few years ago, I bought a Hercules HE74 12" sliding compound miter saw, and I am very pleased with it. It replaced a similar but 10" Makita, so it was a hard act to follow. However, it has proved more capable in every feature, and the laser line enables easier accurate cuts. I use it more than any of my other power tools. For the serious DIYer, it is an impressive tool, and very good value.
