I ordered 12 Delphinium plug plants, which arrived in quite good condition. Potted them on twice to larger pots so I could see the individual colours of each plant. When the first plant flowered, an adjoining shoot produced a different colour flower spike, and then I realised that they were all multi-seeded plugs, ie 2, 3 or 4 seeds germinating together in the same pot. That is a death sentence for delphiniums, causing fatal outbreaks of powdery mildew amongst the overcrowded plants living in one pot. I’m now trying to separate the individual plants, but not looking good. Hugely disappointed in Hayloft.
