“So disappointed with them. Have been buying plants from them for over 15 years. This year the quality of the plants have been dismal, have thrown half of them away. One order didn’t contain all the plants requested with no explanation. Emailed 3 times and no response. Had to phone in the end. Will not be buying from them again.”

“Delphiniums arrived dead, woman laughed when I told her said she’d email me personally and resend, nothing arrived. When I rang again, they said I’d be sent another email plants were in stock and they’d resend, still no email confirmation and still no plants. Very disappointed with the service especially as this was from gardeners world magazine, hope the magazine won’t take or advertise this site again.”

“Again like everyone else is saying dead plants arrive past the due date and the customer service is appalling . It is against the law to keep advertising a no quibble guarantee when you can see from the reviews they quibble with everyone if you can manage to get a reply from them . Just shocking .”

“I ordered several plants across two orders, the hellebore was satisfactory, the cosmos very poor and continue not to do well, the phlox bare root plants grew but are very weak and three bareroot oriental poppies took a long, long time to shoot and have since died, I cancelled the remainder of the orders and requested a refund that was actioned straight away, I won't order again from Hayloft. The website is very tempting when seeing beautiful plants but the plants and how they arrive ( very dry and with disturbed compost ) is disappointing.”

“Ordered £70 worth of plants on 21st April. Still haven’t received them, despite assurance that they would be dispatched before 26th April. No apology or explanation apart from a generic email after over a fortnight saying that they couldn’t fulfil orders. Hopeless.”

“Ordered 3 osteospermum plants, They were very very small and when took out the box all 3 were dead. Tried to revive them but 2 weeks later still dead so had to throw them away.”

“I'm thrilled with the three Hellebores I ordered. They arrived last night. All three are healthy sturdy plants with blooms and new leaves as well. Well packaged. Great root system on the plants also. Many thanks.”

“I have been a customer for many years and spent a considerable amount of money on plants from Hayloft. Like so many people on here i have witnessed the decline of what was a fabulous on line plant supplier. It has changed hands new owners sadly this has come to late .”

“Tiny plants. Badly packed, so one plant was damaged. Delivered by the worst delivery company Yodel. I certainly won't be purchasing from Hayloft again.”

“I bought agapanthus fireworks spring 20/24 . It has bloomed all summer , it's now late October ! Everyday is a absolute pleasure to see this beautiful plant still in bloom . Iv never grown this plant before ! Planning lots more space to add to this beautiful display next year . Thanks guys , agapanthus convert looking forward to planting n enjoying this amazing flower all next year . Well done”

“Absolute waste of money. Ordered 3 x night scented phlox plants at 5 pound each, expected decent sized plants not plug plants. Potted them up in small pots and kept them in conservatory, but they look very weak and I don't think they will survive. Had much bigger healthier plants from the supermarket for less money, will never buy from Hayloft again.”

“I wish I had read previous complaints. I ordered bird feeders. which were in stock (I checked) now all of a sudden they wont be available till August. I had already paid for these and PP. I will write to Simon King to advise him not to let this company sell his products. Auto replies to emails and when they did finally reply they said I had confirmed this date and plants were being nurtured - I pointed out to them in large letters so they could see it I NEVER ORDERED PLANTS. I've asked for a refund.. I wonder how long that will take. please don't buy anything from this company. they only want your money. ZERO STARS”

“Absolutely dreadful service - don't waste your money, give it to your local garden centre instead! I've waited two working weeks for a bag of compost costing £19.00 - I'm still waiting. The Nemesia plants I bought cost £35.00 [after a ten day wait they've finally arrived] - check out the photos attached and yes, that is a 10p piece! The positives? We've never laughed so much in our house, also - we're going to buy from our local garden centre from now on. My sympathies go out to the people on the Hayloft switchboard - you can tell they're used to complaints!”

“Absolute waste of time. Don't use them they take your money for products immediately and fail to deliver after you make several enquiries and promises of delivery eventualy they tell you there are issues with growers, this is after waiting for 4 months. This is the second time they have used this excuse. Customer service would suggest that these people have the courtesy to keep customers informed of delays/issues. We have asked for our money back hopefully they are a bit more efficient at refunds than they are at providing a service.”

“If I could give them zero I would but it just does allow you to do so!!!! Ordered and paid for a bird feeder on the 16th of May still waiting the delivery . Sent off a email to customer services (hahahahah) which says the Hayloft Girls will get back to you shortly. Do not consider this lot with giving them a single penny. They are a scamming site”

“YOU WILL REGRET IT. Do NOT contemplate buying your plants from Hayloft. Plant quality shocking if even alive. NOT small plants they are plugs definitely not 'garden ready'. EMAILS not replied to. Complaints ignored. Yodel their 'chosen' courier. That says it all.”
