Bought a hanging basket off QVC, £25.00 of my pension money wasted, when your a vulnerable person in Covid 19 you are reliant on company’s delivering what they say, plants were a disgrace, so looking forward to this delivery, spoilt my day, would not but again from you or recommend you to anyone

I ordered six delphiniums and three astrantias on arrival the delphiniums looked dead but I planted them any way, one of the astrantias was dead also and another looked very poorly, out of the nine plants only one is doing OK, one is still in a poorly state and the others are all dead. I emailed and complained and received an email back about a fortnight ago offering me a replacement or refund for the delphiniums, I said I would accept a replacement if the plants were alive but I have yet to here back. I have ordered Lang’s from there before and mostly nothing turns out as it was advertised. I definitely will not buy from them again.

order placed on 4/05/2020 told to expect plants on 23/05 2020 but to expect a delay of 14 days. Phoned on 11/06/2020 and was told that the delivery date would now be 19/072020.I therefore cancelled the order. I have ordered lots of plants online since the lockdown none have taken this length of time and no explination

Very poor quality of plants, delphiniums, begonia illuminations all very leggy with yellowing leaves, have planted out, but not expecting much. The begonias cost me double what I could of paid at my local nursery, wish I had waited for garden centres to reopen during the lockdown. Had them for 3 weeks now and not looking much better, by the time they do get going it will be the end of the season, my patio pots look awful because of them. Also purchased some bare root elatum delphiniums, planted them but no sign of any life yet. Extremely disappointed. Will not purchase from Hayloft again and definitely will not be recommending.

Dreadful - sent the wrong plants. 3 months later only, after much valuable and irreplaceable growing time I'm left with the most revoltingly coloured begonias. They take nearly a week to reply and say, sorry, wrong plants, here's a refund. Disgusting and my front deck is now an aesthetic nightmare. Don't touch them with a barge pole.

I have been waiting a year for some of my plants. 🤔. I was not informed of any delay in delivery even though nearly every time it got pushed back months and the plants where no longer available. Communication is poor. If I had not ordered the plants for others I may well have forgotten about them and have my money taken and no plants. I wonder if this happens with people frequently as it’s actually quite naughty. I have been assured I am a one off case but know this not to be so. I think hayloft need to seriously sort out their communication issues and consider if they are a fit company to exist. You can’t sell things you don’t have in stock. I understand the nature of horticulture and the uncertainty of and reliance on weather conditions etc for growth and success of plants but you need to be sure you don’t unintentionally take folks money and forget to give them their product or you could one day be up against some quite serious accusations. Best of luck in going forward

I've ordered twice from Hayloft via "Exclusive Reader Offers" in magazines.. I should have learnt my lesson in 2018 when the plants did not arrive when scheduled and I had to contact Hayloft who said they'd sent a letter regarding the plants which should have arrived in late Summer, were now coming the following Spring due to high demand stock had run out and my order was placed after the available stock had been allocated to orders (so why months in delaying telling me)...then more letters arrived, a further day blaming poor weather, crop failures, eventually after they'd had my money for 10 months I got my order which was barely satisfactory in quality, different colours etc and took a lot of TLC to revive. This year I was drawn in by an offer for Alstroemeria and allium bulbs. I thought I'd give them another chance but guess what, same issues AGAIN! The allium bulbs arrived on time but were not the best size or quality compared to where I normally buy from and I'm not expecting great results in spring. I then got an emailed letter saying the Alstroemeria were not coming in November as scheduled but later in December due to a challenging growing season and they suggested the tubers would then be best potted up into pots, not the ground, so I bought the pots. Then I get another letter stating due to widespread flooding in Holland had caused complete crop failure and they could not supply my collection! They then started offering alternative types of the plant like 3x plants in 2l pots and some vouchers instead of 30 tubers but they would not be arriving until next year. No offer of refund was included at that stage, I complained in response to the delay and offer and I suggested a better deal would appease me, they had included some tubers but were not offering enough of them, I never order plants in pots through the post, it's environmentally bad and they always arrive in poor condition and don't establish as well as young plants and bulbs.... they then started phoning me every day to talk to me about my complaint, completely ignoring my emails, even though 3x stated I could only email due to health issues with talking on the phone, Hubby eventually had to speak to them. I asked for a refund which was processed fairly quickly. Hayloft state in their T&Cs that having to offer alternatives etc is exceptional and that they rarely have issues with fulfilling orders...I disagree, this is the way they operate, this problem happens to far too many people, it's not rare! In my opinion they advertise for bulbs and plants at prices that are only available for a few orders but they continue to take the orders/money for stock they do not have and have not been able to buy in..they draw you in with very good looking offers but have no means to fulfill all the orders so they sit on your money in their bank account while you wait for plants and bulbs that they never could supply in the first place, then they start offering alternatives which are not what you wanted and are probably much lower in value for them to supply. As for the catastrophic flooding in Holland? Well I sourced the same type of Alstroemeria from another company, they came direct from Holland and arrived within days of ordering...they were healthy tubers and are already showing promise in the greenhouse. My experiences of Hayloft's methods of operation have not turned out well and based on interactions and their excuses I have found them to be far from honest and trustworthy. Avoid Hayloft, you will have nothing but hassle and disappointment.

Purchased a selection of Japanese Anemones in 2020. Arrived in plug form which was disappointment although packaging was excellent (I thought). Grew on as suggested but they didn't really do much. Planted out this Spring - only 4 of the 15 ordered actually grew and then after all the anticipated waiting - WRONG SPECIMEN !!! Complained and was sent vouchers immediately by return which I still have ready to spend but I'm no longer very enthusiastic. Once bitten and all that ! But have to say everyone I spoke to or had dealings with was extremely cordial.

FLOWERS NEVER SHOWED UP!!! Really awful experience. For starters their communication was absolutely terrible. Almost impossible to get ahold of someone. My order was placed for my daughters wedding in May 9,2021. I payed the deposit well before that. The day of the wedding the flowers NEVER SHOWED UP!!! and when it was addressed The woman was really rude about it saying "well maybe I owe you a refund" YES! You do owe me a refund.... And to this day a month later we're still chasing the refund and haven't gotten any responses.

I have just received my ‘Creative images collection’ plants and am just disgusted by the size and quality of the plants. They are tiny, ranging from 1” to 2” and looking very shabby, one of them is half dead. Hayloft have said the advert said they were small but funny I never saw that ? I wanted the plants ready for the Main planting season at the end of May but I will be lucky to have them grown by the end of June (if I can get them to survive that long) I have told Hayloft I do not want replacements, what is point of another 12 tiny scraggy looking plants that won’t be ready for the season. I stopped ordering from Thompson and Morgan due to their poor quality plants and hoped Hayloft would be better. As they say in Yorkshire ‘I’ve had mi pants pulled down’. So, this weekend it’s off to Morrison’s Supermarket to buy some decent quality/size plants a lot cheaper.

delphiniums arrived today 9th april 2021 , they were so dry the soil fell off and the plants look dead. i had cancelled a part of the order due to crop failure and i am so glad i did. i had already had a refund on clematis in march, when they arrived i did not hold out much hope, i did put them in pots with good compost and they just died. i can not be bothered ringing up again, but hayloft, do not send me any catalogues please,i will go to my local garden centre. I am 74 years old and never seen such bad plants.

I ordered the Erysium but I was very disappointed when they arrived. I have 5 out of 15 that look reasonable and although I have repotted them as advised they don't look as if they have much chance of surviving. They cost me £15 but I won't be spending money with the company again.

I spent over £90 on a selection of plants from the summer 2020 catalogue, but have been disappointed overall with the quality for the price I paid. For example, I paid £20 for 10 Echinops plants, but only 1 survived - and the replacements I was sent don't look healthy either. I also ordered 5 Coreopsis in a dark apricot colour - while these were healthy, when the buds opened only 1 was in apricot and the other 4 were the yellow option. When I queried this with Hayloft I was told that the yellow plants will turn to apricot as they age - how ridiculous a statement is that! Needless to say, the 4 plants remain bright yellow and have been in flower for weeks. While pretty, they are not what I wanted nor ordered.

I ordered 4 different climbers eg. The clematis and Jasmine that cost the same me £62. The plants do not look healthy at all. They're covered in diseased and bitten leaves. Won't be using again and am very disappointed.

I have given them several orders but most of the plants received have been in terrible condition. By matching dispatch times against receipt, I can confirm this is not down to postal delays but due to Hayloft sending out unacceptable plants. Even when they have sent replacements these have been equally as bad and most have been thrown straight in the bin.

Tomato plants despatched 26May and arrived today 2nd June in a dreadful state. Tried to revive them but no joy. 5 days in the post has killed them off. Hayloft must do better by guaranteeing next day delivery if plants are to survive.

I tried to contact Hayloft this morning but was number 27 in the queue so abandoned the idea. I have made 3 orders with you and the order numbers are as follows: OR0138547, OR0158844 and OR0037787 So far I have received 3 Philadelphus Little White Love which looked and sounded gorgeous on your website. One plant was in reasonable condition on arrival and the other two were not. They had broken stems due to outgrowing their packaging and black spot on the leaves. I also received Fuchsia Delta’s Sara. These plants were in a pathetic condition and despite my nurturing do not look much better. I rang to complain and was told I would be sent a replacement for the Philadelphus and to wait and see regarding the fuchsias. I have not received any replacements. My Astrantia Ruby Wedding was due to arrive on 8 May 2020. It is now 19 May. I ordered a Philotheca myoporoides costing £45 which was due to arrive on 18th May (ie yesterday). This was going to be a gift for a friend's 60th Birthday which is on Friday. I have now had to make other arrangements as it looks highly unlikely that it is going to arrive in time. In total I have spent £182.40 and request a full refund. I realise this has been a very busy time for you but other companies seem to be able to meet their deadlines. Frankly, if the other plants I have ordered are in such poor condition then I am wasting my money. I am not sure why you are marketing your plants so profusely when you can’t meet your current orders. One very disappointed customer. I have just read reviews from your company and wish I had read them first and I would never have ordered them from you. Never again.

On average very poor quality plants. Spend a fair amount of cash so was expecting good specimens - as an example, ordered six red begonias, only five (5) in the bos , two (2) were broken and all them them were dry. On the whole, most of the plants were weak. Will not recommend you. So as you can expect I will NOT visit your site again. J.Waddington .
