On Thursday, 7/18, I made an inquiry about prices for a trip to a hospital. I did not
schedule the trip. Definitely did not confirm it. UBER charged me for canceling a trip
which I neither scheduled nor confirmed.
On Friday, July 19, I scheduled this trip for $13. Two hours later, I scheduled a return trip along the same route. This time the trip cost me 3.5 time the first trip, $34!!
CAVEAT EMPTOR!.
I tried to email and text Uber. No luck. When you attempt to use Uber's help feature, Uber will respond not with a direct response to your inquiry, but
with a bombardment of a 1000 different policy directives. In short, there's no way to communicate directly with Uber. My experience has been a rip-off. Phil Starr
