Tried to set up an Uber account for a ride to the airport. Somehow it was locked even though I've never had an account. I did initially set up an Ubereats account months ago but never used it. Didn't order anything at all. Went back and forth with Uber (ride) support who gave me vague answers about why my account was locked. Something about payment methods. They said I could still use my account but with a different payment method. However, I still couldn't logon and told them that. Next they wanted a photo of my identification. I complied with a photo of my driver's licence. Since then they've ghosted me. I am a male approaching retirement age with an excellent credit rating and no issues with credit cards or credit of any manner to speak of. What is the problem? Who knows as they won't tell me. And so I'm not at all surprised to see that they have a 1.1 rating after 1365 reviews here. Looks like mine will help push that closer to a solid 1. DO BETTER!
