Booked a return trip and was quoted the prices. The outward trip was fine and charge was as quoted. The return trip was same route, same passengers etc. Driver looked at his meter as we pulled up, I saw the price, it was close to the quoted price, no problem. Then I got notification of charge from Uber, it was doubled from his meter. He didn't tell us the price when I asked before leaving the vehicle, nothing about extra charges. Ive tried twice through help section in app, both times got told no refund no reason nothing. Even tried their complaints section, got nothing. This service used to be good and reliable, not anymore. We are pensioners on a European holiday and now are concerned that if this can happen without consequences, they can charge whatever they want and we have no way of disputing it or getting overcharged refunded. Definitely dodgy.
