I ordered a belt / buckle as a present. we decided to change it. UPS failed to collect it for at least 2 weeks. When finally collected, Hermes agreed to change the order, and confirmed this in writing. They then called to request additional payment for the difference which was fine. Then Hermes then reneged on that contract ‘due to technical issues’ . They sent an email to that effect. Then another member of the Hermes customer service team called to arrange delivery . I told them that they had cancelled the contract. They then rang to say it was going ahead and asked them if they had followed the trail of emails and if they knew what they were doing. I never got an acknowledgement email. They then rang to ask for additional payment , which i had made but it turns out they had then cancelled. I have now paid the difference again.
As a company they appear totally incompetent and their couriers UPS are close to being as incompetent.
Finally after 3 months my partner will get her birthday present.
I will never touch Hermes again.
Arrogance and rank incompetence personified.
