Bought my first pair of Dude shoes years ago totally randomly - was in dire need of shoes (far from home, shoes broken, long story) and the Dudes were the only ones that fit me in the only shop that sold shoes. To be honest I thought they were a bit expensive, but you know... Hobson's choice. Anyway, they turned out to be the most comfortable shoes I'd ever worn. They lasted years - so not expensive at all. They happily went through the washing machine. They went everywhere with me. I still wear them now but they are looking battered. I wanted an identical pair (in pristine condition) but couldn't find my size anywhere online, so went for a slightly different style. They're very comfortable too and I have high hopes they'll be as good as the originals. If I could find those original ones in the right size, I'd buy a pair of those too.
