While I appreciated the simplicity and automation of the training, the content tells the candidate that member states of the EEC were included in the desitinations to which information could be sent. One of the later questions in the 20-question quiz asked 'to which country could such data be shared' out of the following :
Switzerland
Pakistan
China
Russia
The quiz gave the correct answer as 'Switzerland' but, to my understanding, this state is not and has never been a member of the now-defunct EEC nor the current EU. If we were supposed to follow the link within the training to check the Adequate Protection status of Switzerland [https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/principle-8-international/] it is not actually listed among the EEA. We would then have to check the European Commission on Data Protection list for up-to-date information [http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/international-transfers/adequacy/index_en.htm]. This _does_ show Switzerland but I sense this was not supposed to be checked by the testee. I find it concerning that I may have been trained on a legal matter where the information (terms such as the EEC) is out of date and so incorrect.
