* Incorrect use of legal terminology. In the assessment multiple choice, it referred to a piece of "legislation" whereas the correct answer had the legal status of guidance. I had to work on the basis that the question might have been worded badly. I was right, it was.
* Again in the assessment multiple choice, there was an example that suggested children were living in substandard accommodation and might have been seen in brothels. We were asked to pick from 4 options which included neglect, child sexual exploitation and human trafficking. I mean honestly....any of those could have been the correct answer. Not enough information was given and of course the one I picked was wrong as the odds were stacked against me. Most irritating of all was that the correct answer was never given so I have no idea what I was supposed to have picked. This question is multiple choice at its worst!
* In module 2, the exercise concerning the categorisation of different types of abuse contained a similar issue where several examples of abuse could have been in a couple of different categories. It's impossible to know which one you've done wrong and you can't move on in the module until you get it right. Too many different combinations to check, you doubt yourself and second guess everything. Also not made clear in question that all types of abuse fall into one of the categories - I wondered if I was supposed to have left out a couple of the Faking an illness was the one I struggled to categorise - it is only physical abuse if a medic acts on the parent's claims and conducts an unnecessary medical procedure. It is just as likely to be emotional abuse or domestic abuse (using a position of dominance to make a child believe s(h)e is unwell). I suggest that you make it possible to see which answers you consider incorrect.
