Andy Fletcher
The process was easy enough to follow. I do however get frustrated with this type of training which asks people to learn things which are irrelevant to their particular job role. It is irrelevant to me as a teacher what a social worker would do in response to a certain set of circumstances, or what the technical name for a specific process is unless it is something that I specifically will be involved with. As a teacher, it is critical that I understand the elements which i will be involved with in detail, but it's not necessary for me to know how a social worker does their job. I know that a doctor would treat someone who is ill, but I don't need to know what regulations they would abide by. It would make sense to focus the testing on what individual staff members NEED to know to complete their jobs and protect the children effectively.
